Priya is registered both with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC) and the BC College of Social Workers (RSW) and has over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families in various ages and stages of their lives.
Priya is passionate about helping clients experience growth, repair and transformation and is honoured to witness them come into more fullness in themselves and their relationships. Priya is intentional to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore feelings, thoughts, patterns and behaviours to foster awareness, understanding, skills and change.
She has experience working through issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, loss, change, generational trauma, adjustment to a medical diagnosis, caregiver stress/burnout, cognitive changes, aging, chronic illness and interpersonal/family issues.
Priya and her clients will take steps to explore old patterns, create new narratives, challenge old systems and ways of functioning that no longer serve them or the people in their lives.
Priya draws from a trauma-informed, systems, intersectional and developmental lens. Her approach is anti-oppressive, strengths-based and person and family centred .
