Joni Louie

MACP, RCC

Hello, I’m Joni. Whether you’re new to counselling or have been through the process before, I welcome the opportunity to connect with you.

I believe that healing happens through a supportive, non-judgmental relationship where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach is client-centered, relational, and mindfulness-based. With over 20 years of practicing and teaching meditation and yoga, I often draw on the wisdom of the nervous system and body, as well as the mind-body-spirit connection, to support deeper awareness and healing.

You can expect our sessions to be collaborative and tailored to your unique needs and concerns. My approach integrates somatic, attachment-based, and mindfulness therapies, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also work from a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and culturally responsive perspective.

Together, we can explore what brings you to counselling, deepen reflective awareness, strengthen self-compassion and self-acceptance, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease, freedom and choice.
