To the members of the Filipino Community, and anyone impacted by the recent tragedy: free supports are available

Our hearts go out to you at this time. In response to this urgent and critical event that occurred at the Lapu Lapu Festival on Saturday, our team have come together to offer a series of 3 free Mental Health First Aid sessions to help you to regroup and stabilize.

We will pair you with one of the volunteer counsellors on our team.

You can expect:

  • Guidance and support to understand your reactions and feelings
  • Tools to help yourself to manage in a crisis
  • Resources and supports for more support, if needed

This is appropriate for anyone who attended the event, or anyone who is feeling upset about what happened and would like to get some support.

Our team have completed specialized training to help guide you through the first stages of this process.

To find out more or to book in with us, please contact us at info@eastvancouvercounselling.ca, leave us a message at 604-900-1861, or go to our contact page: https://eastvancouvercounselling.ca/contact-vancouver-counselling/

Please mention that you’re seeking our 3 emergency mental health first aid sessions and we’ll quickly connect you with a counsellor to get you started with supports as soon as possible.
