At Blooming Brains we offer a variety of ways to help calm your nervous system and bring you into a place of health and healing. One of the ways we help with nervous system regulation is by offering a real time heart rate monitoring program called HeartMath™.
HeartMath™ gives you real time feedback on how your body is responding to your thoughts, physical sensations and more. Unlike most heart rate monitors, it is not simply measuring BPMS, but also how consistent your heart rate is as well as the patterns and rhythm of your heart. The smooth rhythm and pattern is known as “coherence”. The more coherent the heart rate is, the better a person’s emotional stability, physical efficiency, and mental clarity are (McCraty, 2022). Bradley (2010) found that when participants were practicing coherence regularly with HeartMath ™ that they had lower levels of anxiety and depression and an overall sense of wellbeing in their daily lives. It was also found that practicing keeping one’s heart rate in coherence for a few minutes a day helped lower blood pressure (Alabdulgader, 2011).
My experience with HeartMath ™ is that it reduces stress levels and creates an overall sense of calm and warmth. The techniques that are provided are aimed at helping a person feel safe and connected so that no matter where they go they know they are ultimately able to manage and navigate anything that comes their way.
At Blooming Brains, we have seen the benefits and are excited to offer this form of support for your healing journey. To find out more please inquire with our team and someone will gladly get back to you with further information on how to create more balance in your daily life.
