Vanessa Silva

MA, RCC

Vanessa is going on maternity leave starting September 2024 and is not taking new clients at this time. She is returning September 2025; you can express interest in working with her then by email.

Vanessa Silva (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who uses trauma-informed, mind and body-based approaches with a specialization in grief and loss. Vanessa believes that the most important element of counselling is finding the right fit- someone with whom you feel safe, can learn to trust and build an authentic connection with. With each session Vanessa works to foster an environment where that connection can grow; bringing warmth, understanding and grounding so that her clients have the safe space necessary to unpack what they are bringing into the room. Vanessa has a range of clinical experience working with clients of all ages on issues including grief and loss, childhood abuse and attachment trauma, major life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, and both generalized and social anxiety. She provides therapy that is tailored specifically to her clients using techniques such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic/sensorimotor techniques, and attachment-based approaches. Vanessa’s contact information is available on her website; please feel free to contact her for more information.
