I come from a background of front-line work as a Registered Social Worker and have a breadth of experience working in different contexts supporting and empowering people to find a sense of well-being in their lives. My work is informed by a somatic-attachment framework and combines a social justice and systemic focus with a person-centered approach. I see folks as the experts of their situation and learn from my clients on an ongoing basis. I work with adults and youth.
I integrate a wide range of modalities in my work, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, mindfulness-based practices, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Emotional Freedom Technique, AEDP, and Narrative therapy. I actively work at recognizing my privilege and examining old, learned, hidden biases, stereotypes, prejudices and discriminations that stem from white supremacy, cis-heteronormativity, and other forms of toxic socialization.
I love riding my bike in all seasons, playing soccer, attempting to grow fantastic tomatoes and obsessively watching my bird feeders.
