Keara Gillis

RSW, MSW

Keara (she/her) is a registered social worker and therapist with over 10 years of experience. She works with couples, families, and individuals – with a special passion and interest for relationship work. Common concerns people come to her for include anxiety, depression, self-development, and family/relationship dynamics. She has received specialized training and supervision in the following areas to best serve your needs: Treating Depression and Anxiety, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feedback Informed Treatment, Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Family System Therapy. Working together with her will be about identifying existing strengths and building skills to apply to current challenges, while better understanding your own unique context and story. Breaking down the assumption that therapy is about fixing individual problems or flaws, she focuses on helping you understand how the systems you operate within impact you and giving you the tools to navigate them throughout your life. Outside of private practice, she is the co-founder and counsellor for Collectively Tangled, where she works with business leaders in the innovation sector. When she’s not in the office, you might find her enjoying the mountains, curled up with a good book, or possibly catching some live music – but always seeking out new experiences, people, and places.
