Carly has been working in mental health and trauma since 2012, where she witnessed how trauma and negative life experiences can have lasting effects on self-esteem, a sense of self-worth, and overall wellness. She works from an attachment lens, exploring how early experiences of care, neglect, love, or whatever it looked like for you, influence current relationships, sense of self, and wellness. She also uses an embodied approach, exploring deeply held beliefs and feelings, not just thoughts, to go beyond realizing something about yourself to actually healing and changing it. She balances warmth and care with honesty and genuineness, keeping the work moving and interrupting old patterns. Carly is trained in a variety of approaches and often uses a tailored and eclectic mix of EMDR, AEDP, mindfulness, and other approaches to best suit your needs and preferences. She also offers Emotion Focused Family Therapy training and sessions for parents of children of all ages struggling with mental health, addiction, family conflict, and estrangement.
