Bonny is a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) who practices individually with adults (19+). Her areas of focus are difficult childhood experiences, attachment and relationship trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and life transitions. Many of her clients identify with experiences of rumination, emotional overwhelm, fear of vulnerability, stuckness, loneliness, self-doubt, and low self-esteem.
Bonny’s therapeutic approach brings her to lean into emotion, deepen with gentle curiosity, and facilitate a sense of togetherness in a space where transformation and healing can occur. Bonny brings her genuine self forward and pays close attention to whatever arises in the moment as it happens (mind and body). She has witnessed clients experience their resilience and strength, grow in hopefulness, and turn towards themselves with more understanding and self-compassion. Bonny draws from a collection of modalities, including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP, advanced training), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindful Self-Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
