Jill Farnsworth Taylor
Having worked for 25 years in social service and healthcare, I have an understanding of life transitions and recognise that, at every stage, there are new horizons to explore. Challenging ourselves to reflect on areas of our lives that seem fixed in stone can help us find new paths to move forward.
I have worked with individuals of all ages, and will endeavour to offer a safe and collaborative, feminist, and anti-oppressive space in which you can discover both how you have been shaped by life as well as how you wish to step forward, here and now. I take a holistic approach and draw on a creative arts background to support self-compassion and inner resilience towards greater authenticity. I believe each person has the ability to grow by drawing strength from their unique experience of emotional suffering.
I am a Certified NeurOptimal Neurofeedback Trainer with Blooming Brains and a Pre-Licensed Clinical Counsellor, and I hold specialised training with post-baccalaureate diploma in Gerontology. I’ve completed a Masters of Counselling Psychology (MACP) program and am awaiting confirmation of my certification.
I work with individuals of all ages, including children and youth, both online and in-person, and can provide sliding scale rate options.
Cultural Identities/Lived Experience: interpersonal conflict, people pleasing
I offer sessions in English & French.
