Shauna Carson (she/her/hers) is a graduate of Yorkville University. Before pursuing her masters in counselling, she worked in social services for over 15 years. Shauna has experience working with a wide variety of people, primarily with those who are neurodivergent. She endeavours to offer a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate space where her clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions. Shauna’s stance is trauma-informed and anti-oppressive, and she brings a gentle, grounding presence to her work. Shauna has studied Buddhism for over 30 years and can incorporate Buddhist practice into her sessions. Some of the people she has worked with are struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and neurodiversity. Her holistic approach integrates mindfulness, self-compassion, solution-focused, emotion-focused, and existential therapies. Shauna is passionate about learning new interventions and skills as part of her career journey.
Shauna works with adults and youth, ages 9 and up.
